Police box
One of the last 120 surviving police boxes in the UK. This one stands outside the town hall on the end of Surrey St.
Taken from www.sheffieldhistory.com:Introduced in Sheffield in 1928 by the then Chief Constable, Percy J Sillitoe, of gang-busting fame, they were eventually phased out in the 1960's. The boxes were used by patrolmen for meal breaks and writing reports.

Wicker Arches
The Arches on The Wicker. Look underneath them and you can see a patched up hole where a bomb landed in WW2.

I see icey
Apologies, didn't make it out to take a new photo today (in daylight anyway), so I'm posting a snap from the start of winter. It's pretty apt though, as Sheffield was covered in terrible black ice today. I dont mind admitting I had a cartoon style fall this morning!
