Police box

One of the last 120 surviving police boxes in the UK. This one stands outside the town hall on the end of Surrey St.

Taken from www.sheffieldhistory.com:

Introduced in Sheffield in 1928 by the then Chief Constable, Percy J Sillitoe, of gang-busting fame, they were eventually phased out in the 1960's. The boxes were used by patrolmen for meal breaks and writing reports.

It's a beautiful, green police box! I wish you could turn it to be right side up! Ha!
