Ford Anglia

The classic Ford in a yard off Matilda Street.
I'm not sure what made me take a photo of this car, I think maybe my Dad had one? But I just love the look of Ford Anglias, and to see them about is pretty good, they stopped making them in 1967. So this one is in pretty good nick all things considered.

looks like it's being restored...or did they make them in that odd grey colour?

I think it was the gloss/finished paint (although old), but not sure. I had a an old 1979 Ford Fiesta in a similar colour, so I guess they did :)

My first two cars were Ford Anglias. Bought the first one the day after I failed my second driving test. A couple of months after passing my third test the car died somewhere near Harrogate!
